History of Development


County Line Energy was originally created to explore for Oil and Gas primarily in the areas of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

In 2007 the company became interested in a specific area referred to as the Hayter region due to it’s proximity to the town of Hayter Alberta.

This area lies in the extreme mid eastern section of the province very close to the Saskatchewan border.

This Hayter-Provost area is well known for an abundance of heavy oil production from relatively shallow wells.

In 2007 the company signed a deal in which it was able to earn drilling rights on a property near Hayter by the completion of a $650,000 3D Seismic program.

The Seismic program was completed and a drilling site was selected based on geological and geophysical interpretation of the data.

The well was completed and the well logs showed a definite oil zone which at that time was interpreted as somewhat limited. Since the company was involved in other projects, a decision was made to case the well but to delay perforation for a future date.

Although the Company was involved in other participation wells, there was no production determined during this time period.

The company has reviewed several potential oil and gas properties since that time but economic restrictions and difficulty in financing oil and gas projects has not allowed progress until now.

Renewed interest in the general Hayter area and a review of the County Line Hayter 10-08-40-01 well data and subsequent comparisons with other well logs from the near vicinity have convinced the company to proceed with the perforation of the Dina formation.

County Line Energy is also reviewing several additional opportunities in the nearby Gillespie Lake Area.
